High Frequency Welded Pipes (HFW)
HFW pipes are made from hot rolled flat steel strip, formed into a tubular shape. The longitudinal seam is welded by heating the edges using a high frequency induction coil and by applying pressure to these edges. The weld joint is achieved without any additional filler metal.
